The process

Step One

Tell me everything

t starts with a little note from you. Tell me who you are, what you're dreaming up, how you want your photos to feel, and anything else you think I should know.

I'll personally get back to you within two business days with my availability, pricing, galleries to explore, and a few resources to get the ideas flowing.

We'll chat through the details, make sure we're a good fit, and start dreaming up an Oregon Coast engagement session that actually feels like you.

Step Two

Let's dream it up!

Once your contract is signed and 50% retainer is paid, your date is officially yours. Then we get to the fun part.

We'll create your session together, from outfits and inspiration to finding a location that gives us exactly the feeling we're chasing. Dreaming of running barefoot around Cannon Beach? Wandering through the forest at Oswald West before heading to the water? A windswept evening at Cape Kiwanda? Or some tiny stretch of the Oregon Coast neither of us has explored yet?

I'm in.

I'll help with locations, lighting, timing, tides, crowds, logistics and all the decidedly less-romantic details that make the magic possible. And if you find somewhere new that feels perfect? I'm always down for a scouting adventure.

Step Three

Let's go on a little adventure

Picture day! Except I really don't want it to feel like picture day.

Think less photoshoot and more taking a stroll down the beach with a friend who happens to have a camera.

We'll walk. We'll talk. I'll probably make you do something a little ridiculous. I'll give you plenty of direction so you're never standing there wondering what the hell to do with your hands, but I'm not interested in holding you in a perfect pose all evening.

I'll get you into the good light, give you a little direction, and then let things happen.

Run around. Kiss. Get windswept. Be weird. Bring your dog. Let your inner child out.

And somewhere along the way, hopefully you'll forget I'm there for a minute.

Those are usually my favorite photographs anyway.

Step Four

Relive it all

This part is incredibly bittersweet for me because our adventure is over, but now I get to turn all those tiny moments into something you can keep.

You'll get a little taste with sneak peeks within one week, and your complete gallery will arrive within one month.

Every couples gallery includes at least 50 beautifully edited, high-resolution photographs, but I'm also a sucker for the ridiculous, imperfect, blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments. If I capture them, you're getting them. That means galleries often end up much closer to 100 images.

You'll be able to download everything in high resolution, share your favorites, and order prints directly from your online gallery.

And yes, I absolutely tear up over galleries before I send them.

I really am that much of a sap.

Getting to preserve this tiny chapter of your life in amber is the honor of a lifetime. I'm living out one of my dreams every time I get behind the camera.
