Oregon Elopement Photographer
For couples who'd rather say their vows on a windy beach or a quiet forest trail than in a ballroom. I'll take the photos, and I'll help you plan the whole day.
Elopements from $900 · Payment plans available · Planning help included · Based in Portland
You don't have to figure this out alone
You're planning something huge, maybe for the first time, probably while working full time. Where do you even go? Do you need a permit? What if it rains? How do you tell your family?
No worries though. Those are exactly the questions I love answering. You bring the two of you and an idea of what feels like you, even if that idea is just "pretty outside somewhere." I'll help with the rest.
The photographer who already thought about plan B
I'm Abby, a Portland photographer with nearly ten years of experience photographing people, much of it alongside a career in event planning, from little venue weddings to big corporate events.
So on your elopement day you get two people in one. The goofy, warm one who gets you laughing until you forget there's a camera, and the organized one who has already checked the sunset time, the tides, the parking, and the backup plan.
Three short points (columns or icons):
Planning help built in. Location ideas, a timeline built around the light, and permit guidance.
Gentle direction the whole time. You don't need to know how to pose. I'll start you off slow and simple and guide you little by little.
A plan for Oregon weather. I watch the forecast, and if it gets moody, we'll make a plan B together.

How eloping with me works
-
Fill out the short form at the bottom of this page. Tell me as much or as little as you want. No date or location yet? That's 100% okay.
-
I'll send you a link for a quick call so we can talk about your day and make sure we're a good fit.
-
Your date is officially yours once your contract is signed and your 50% retainer is paid. The rest can be split into a payment plan.
-
Together we'll pick your spot, build a timeline around the light, sort out permits, and make a weather backup plan. On the day, you just get to be there. Sneak peeks land within 72 hours.
Coast, Gorge, mountains, or right here in Portland
The Oregon Coast. Windy hair, bare feet, giant rocks, and sunsets that occasionally decide to absolutely show off. I've photographed couples at Cannon Beach, Sunset Beach near Seaside, and Proposal Rock in Neskowin.
The Columbia River Gorge. Waterfalls, moss on everything, and huge river views, about half an hour from Portland.
Mount Hood. Forest trails, mountain air, and big evergreen views.
Portland. City parks, rose gardens, and the Multnomah County Courthouse for a sweet, simple ceremony.
Not sure where you want to go? That's my favorite part. I'll recommend spots based on the scenery you love, the season, how far you want to walk, and how private you want it to be.

FAQs:
-
An elopement has no do-over and usually no crowd of guests to remember it with you. Your photos are how you'll relive it, and how the people who couldn't be there get to experience it too.
-
Absolutely. Eloping doesn't have to mean leaving everyone out. It can be just the two of you, a handful of your favorite people, or a sunrise ceremony for two and dinner with family that night. I'll help you plan a day that feels right for you.
-
More than okay. It takes everyone, even experienced models, about 10 to 15 minutes to get comfy. I'll start you off slow with simple, easy poses, then give you prompts and things to do so you never wonder what to do with your hands.
-
Yes, we remain actively involved until solutions are fully operational and staff are confident.
-
A little rain rarely stops an Oregon elopement! I'll help you prepare for the forecast and make a backup plan. Unless conditions are unsafe or a location becomes inaccessible, we'll usually embrace the weather and adjust the timeline as we go.
-
I'll research which photography or ceremony permits your location needs and point you to the right application. Couples submit the applications and cover any permit or site fees.
-
Yes! Every collection comes with a payment plan option. After your 50% retainer, the rest of your balance can be split into smaller payments, as long as it's paid in full one week before your day.
-
Please do! A quick call doesn't commit you to anything, and it's a great way to figure out what you actually need. Good dates and good light do go fast, though, so it's worth asking sooner rather than later.
-
Yes! Dogs are always welcome when the location allows them. I'll help you think through leash rules, trail conditions, and whether you'll want someone to care for your pup during parts of the day.
-
Always. I proudly photograph and celebrate couples of every gender, orientation, race, religion, body type, and background. You deserve to feel comfortable, respected, and fully yourself throughout this experience.
